Foundation
for
the
Arts
and
Music
in
Asia
(FAMA)
is
a
not-for-profit
organisation
created
to
increase
the
awareness
of
classical
vocal
music
in
the
region
and
to
foster
an
appreciation
of
the
art
of
Western
opera.
We
are
very
proud
of
the
programmes
we
present
in
our
endeavour
to
achieve
this
aim.
Through
our
cultural
outreach
program,
The
PopUp
Opera,
we
are
introducing
a
whole
new
audience
to
opera.
At
various
locations
around
Hong
Kong,
with
a
focus
on
economically-disadvantaged
areas,
the
amazing
PopUp
Opera
tent
appears,
showing
an
introduction-to-opera
film
that
entrances
and
inspires
everyone
who
sees
it.
With
The
Met:
Live
in
HD
program,
FAMA
is
delighted
to
give
residents
of
Hong
Kong
the
opportunity
to
experience
world-class
opera
performances
from
one
of
the
world’s
most
famous
opera
companies,
the
Metropolitan
Opera
in
New
York.
These
high-definition
films
are
screened
at
cinemas
around
the
city,
giving
audiences
a
front-row
seat
to
the
Met’s
current
season.
FAMA
is
committed
to
the
development
of
young
singers
in
Hong
Kong
and
to
that
end
we
are
proud
to
support
various
individuals
through
our
vocal
scholarship
programme.
